Berowra to Hornsby (part of The Great Northern Walk)

A tough 24 km hike at quite a fast pace. I was exhausted after it! Norman led the hike and I got to meet some lovely people.

Hiking at Cowan with Srini and Gavin

An absolutely fabulous day out with the very best of friends.

Berowra to Cowan

A real up and down day; gradient wise that is!  And at a fast pace.  I barely had a chance to snap these photos.  Great exercise though and some lovely views.

Berowra to Mt Kuring-gai via Cowan Creek and Apple Tree Bay

A lovely 12 km walk with Meet Up in shafts of warm sunshine after days of rain.

I learned two vital lessons on the hike ...

Lesson 1: Don't wear open shoes unless you want to get bitten by a whopping big bull ant.

Lesson 2: Don't put the dead body of the ant into your pocket to potentially show to the doctor because dead ants can miraculously come alive and bite you again where no man wants to get bitten!!
