The dangers of punting

We went punting along the Camb last weekend and saw a suspicious bunch of guys on the bridge ahead. Didn't think too much of it though - until we passed under the bridge and they unexpectedly "bombed" us from the bridge. We got soaked. And loved it - the girls thought the "bombers" were kinda cute and the weather was hot so a bit of a cooler off was just what we needed. Can't say that all the other punters on the river who experienced the same treatment felt as amiable as us though.

Martin's farewell punt

Another punt down the Camb, this time as a farewell outing for Martin. It was a gloriously sunny day with temperature over 30 degrees. Seemed liked everyone in Cambridge was out soaking up the rays. Ally was in the Lake District with Rosemarie so missed the outing. Afterwards, we went back to Mats and Maria for a steak barbecue. It was a late and rather drunken night.

Sales & Marketing Team

Here's a picture of the whole team. We had a good teambuilding meeting at a college in Cambridge this week. We got an actor in the do some exercises with us (part of the teambuilding) - tremendous fun and very enlightening too. Our president took part too with gusto. Nice to do some acting again - last time i did role playing was at school!

Abba mania

We met up with work colleagues on Friday night to have a barbecue. Matts and Maria, have a huge flat screen television with a dozen music channels alone. One of the channels was playing Abba's greatest hits. Being a party of mostly Swedes, this caused enormous excitement and everyone table boogied to the music with the volume turned to super high (poor neighbours - there's nothing quite like Dancing Queen if you're trying to sleep...)

It was interesting seeing all the old Abba videos, especially since I used tho have a mega crush on Agnetha (the blonde one!!) when I was young. In fact, she was the first crush I ever had. My second was Olivia Hussey who I saw in Romeo and Juliet. The fact that you got to see her topless for just a second (a long second thanks to the joys of the remote) really blew my little mind. Ah the joys of innocent youth!

Stick out stomachs

The evening ended with everyone getting pretty well tanked. The chaps had a competition to see who could stick their tummies out the furthest. Unfortunately (altho I suppose Ally would disagree), my tummy exercises and high metabolism proved a handicap in this endeavour. Martin (middle) won hands down. The chap on the right is Matts, by the way - he's my boss!
