The Grand Canyon and Centennial Glen after all the rain

The water was out in force in The Blue Mountains after all the rain.  We had to cross some rampant streams and even help a family of young kids to get across. The highlight of the day was an invigorating swim in a canyon rock pool with a thundering waterfall at our backs. Such a great day out despite Srini spraining his foot and having to take it very easy.

Canyoning in The Blue Mountains

What better way to spend a 40 degree day than to enjoy the cool climes of a canyon!  Thank you Srini for introducing me to a wonderful new form of adventure.

I'm very glad we had wetsuits, the water was freezing!

Srini having a well earned beer after getting to the end of the canyon.

Rewarded by a great view after the steep walk out.

Large swathes of the bushland showed signs of the terrible burning NSW has been experiencing.
