The Powerhouse Museum

This museum celebrates, amongst other things, the marvels of our technological progress from horse and carriage to space rockets and Mars buggies.  I also got to see the Australian Geographic Photographer of the Year exhibition.  Some amazing photos!  Inspires me to get back into my nature photography.

The Museum of Contemporary Art

I've decided its finally time to explore some of Sydney's museums and art galleries!  There's a lot on offer here. It was a fun morning exploring some very eclectic art exhibits.

Art in the museum I liked

I especially loved this artwork. Pieces of wood picked up on the beach, sculpted by nature into the shape of little animals. Amazing idea and beautiful.

Blue Mountains with Yogi

A wonderful weekend away.  Highlights was Hanging Rock, Newnes and the amazing small arms museum in Lithgow.  Lowlight was returning to the camp site in the pouring rain to discover Yogi had a river running through his tent!!

Lunch at Wallarawang

A delicious lunch in a converted train station.

Small arms museum (Lithgow)

This was amazing.  Every kind of gun imaginable on display from the tiniest handguns to enormous bazookas and even rocket launches.
