Chris comes to pick me up at the airport

What an awesome friend to pick me up at 10.30 pm at night.  He researched and planned it all with military like precision to make it a surprise.  He is so wonderful!

Final farewell lunch

Probably the most delicious sushi I have ever tasted and more homemade ice-cream for dessert.

Eggie Bread for dinner !

What a wonderful way to bring back childhood memories.

Walk from Constantia Nek to Kirstenbosch with Jo's Ladies Hiking Group

A lovely walk in beautiful weather, followed by scones at Kirstenbosch.

Table Mountain with Russell (Up via Constantia Nek and down into Camps Bay)

A very hot winter's day.  The highlight was a plunge into the icy dam.  And the amazing sunset at Camps Bay at the end of the day.

So refreshing!

A very bracing dunk in the water (one couldn't describe it as a swim!)

We explored some small caves in search of geocaches.

On the way down to Camps Bay.

Chilling out at Camps Bay after the hike

Constantia for lunch and ice-cream with Jo

A delicious oven-roasted veggie salad and amazing homemade ice-cream with chucks of cherry.  This place is a winner.

Myburgh's Ravine

Account by Jo:
There is a photo taken by Russel of Graeme doing a leaping shot on Table Mountain 11 years ago that I absolutely love! Seeing as though G and R are both in Cape Town at the moment, we decided to try to find the rock on the hike from Myburgh's Waterfall Ravine to Suikerbossie. We started our (much more strenuous than I anticipated) hike from Houtbay, all the way up the Ravine, over the mountain to the 12 Apostles path and descended via Llandudno Ravine (think sheer exposure) to Suikerbossie. I am scratched from burnt shrubs, bruised from 2 falls but I made it to the rock for a half attempt at a jump (knee was too sore to go any higher). Will have to give it another bash in a year or so!!!
